Example Internal Plaster Specification on Plaster/Insulation Board
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime applied with a 10 mm Notched Trowel.
- 4 mm Glass Fibre Mesh.
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime to cover mesh giving a total backing coat thickness of 6 mm.
- 2 mm SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC Fino, applied in two passes (approximately 2-4 hours apart or longer in cold temperatures and/or high humidity).
Coverage
18 kg bag approximately 8 m² @ 2 mm thick (2 x 1 mm passes).
Restrictions
Do not apply SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC Fino at room and substrate temperatures below 5 °C and above 30 °C. Prior to application wet down the substrate if it is hot and/or dry weather or direct sunlight. Only apply when it is dry.
Under these conditions daily watering of the surfaces should be carried out, for 2-4 days. This is to keep plasters permanently moist.
Decorating
Allow 14 days curing time before painting. Decorate with one coat of SecilTek Silicate Primer and two coats of SecilTek Silicate Paint or Earthborn Claypaint inside. See our links below or call our technical team for advice.
