SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC – Example External Render Specification
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime applied with a 10 mm Notched Trowel.
- 4 mm Glass Fibre Mesh.
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime to cover mesh giving a total backing coat thickness of 6 mm.
- 3 mm SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC, applied in two passes.
Use externally or internally for a textured finish using a trowel for the final surface for either a fine finish or a rustic smooth finish.
Filling Cracks and Holes
SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC is suitable as a lime filler for repairing fine cracks and damage on external lime renders.
Deep holes and cracks wider than 4-5 mm may need initially filling with SecilTek Reabilita Cal CS or RB.
Coverage
25 kg bag: 5.2 m² at 3 mm thick (applied in two 1.5 mm passes).
Mix with water in the proportion of 4.5 to 5 litres per 25 kg bag in small quantities using an electric mixer to obtain a uniform and lump-free paste. Strict control of the mixing water is fundamental and decisive to ensure uniformity of mortar mix.
Restrictions
Do not apply at room and substrate temperatures below 5 °C and above 30 °C. In hot and / or dry weather or when substrates are in sunlight, dampen down the substrate prior to commencing application once dried carrying on watering the substrate daily for one week, to keep renders permanently moist.
Decorating
It has a curing period of 28 days. Decorate with one coat of SecilTek Silicate Primer and two coats of SecilTek Silicate Paint.
