Description
SecilTek Isovit Lime is specially designed for surface fixing and levelling, promoting the increase of thermal and acoustic performance of dark expanded agglomerated cork boards in thermal insulation systems on the exterior and interior.
It is used with Cork Board Insulation and other carrier boards in new construction and refurbishment works. It is also applied as a backing plaster / render coat on to cork boards before a topcoat of SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC or Cal AC Fino
Made with 100% Secil Natural Hydraulic Lime breathable binder and high vapour permeability. Use Isovit Lime for fixing standard Cork Board Insulation which then receive render or plaster finishes.
Example External Render Specification
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime applied with a 10 mm Notched Trowel.
- 4 mm Glass Fibre Mesh.
- 3 mm SecilTek Isovit Lime to cover mesh giving a total backing coat thickness of 6 mm.
- 3 mm SecilTek Reabilita Cal AC, applied in two passes.

Coverage
20 kg bag approximately 5 m² @ 3 mm thick. Pre-mixed, dry, bagged product – just add 6.1 – 6.5 litres of clean water (preferably drinking water) to each bag of product. To achieve a smooth paste use an electric mixer.
