* Breathability can be beneficial to the building fabric. It is an especially important consideration where there are inherent damp problems and in older buildings. High breathability is essential when overpainting a lime based substrate.
** Information for ‘conventional emulsion’ is indicative of typical vinyl emulsion (as independently selected and tested by the Paint Research Association). Performance and characteristics may vary from brand to brand.
*** Acrylic softeners and VOCs are widely accepted as being damaging to

health and the environment and as a contributor to global warming. Acrylics reduce

the breathability of the coating.
****The texture of Claypaint can be enhanced by the use of a heavier flock roller.
